We have all had those experiences where we make a choice that creates internal conflict. We stay late at work to finish a project and we miss a night ou t with our friends. Or maybe we eat that bag of potato chips and skip going to the gym. What's going on? Why is it so hard to live out what we say is important to us?

What happens when they are competing? Competing values can create cognitive dissonance and that creates stress.
What happens when your values change and it impacts relationships?
